Our Purpose

Our purpose is to serve and minister in the communities of Dar es Salaam, Dodoma and primarily Zanzibar (Unguja Island). It is our desire to empower the local church and the community by assisting our Tanzanian Partners in addressing the extreme poverty in these regions. We accomplish this through humanitarian means such as medical missions, community health development, vital construction projects, and through our child sponsorship program in which we corporately provide for the nutritional, educational, emotional and spiritual needs of 103 children affected by HIV/AIDS.

April 20, 2008-Team Introduction Meeting

Dear Team,

How do you like our new "blog" site? We will be updating this from time-to-time before we depart and daily while we are in Tanzania. Please be sure to send this link to your friends and family because this is one of the ways that we will be sharing our journey with them! You will be able to write messages, post photos and even read messages left here by your friends and family.

Please don't forget to mark your calendars for our first meeting on Sunday, April 20 at 1:00 PM, upstairs in the High School Room. Crossroads Bible Church is located at 670 Moorpark Avenue, San Jose, CA 95128. Bring your passport and be prepared to fill out requisite paperwork! :) Please call me at 650.796.5042 should you have any questions or cannot attend.

I look forward to seeing each of you next week!

God bless,
Kathy

Hi Team,

Thank you all for attending the meeting today, it was great getting to see you all again and to meet Dahlia, Nimfa and Jocelyn. Doug and Suzanne have opened their home to host a couple of our future meetings and the team agreed that we can move some of them to Saturday. Since the meetings will be around lunch time, please be prepared to bring your own lunch. I'll send out a revised schedule soon.

God bless,
Kathy

Just got Doug & Suzanne's prayer letter via US mail. Sounds exciting.

Doug - could you email me with a contact phone #?

(I love the photo with the video camera and the child)

Thanks,

Bill Parrish (Wump)
